This is the new for 2017 Friedman Amplification Motor City Drive, an overdrive pedal with a high 220 volt circuit driven by a single 12AX7 pre-amp tube. The tube delivers a natural feel, which compresses, clips and has more harmonics than any solid-state signal path pedal could. The Motor City can do light overdrive sounds but also become a saturated distortion that will give you some signature Friedman high-gain tones. The onboard 3-band EQ lets you really shape the tone and boost the frequencies you’re looking to push. This pedal requires at least 350-400mA of power, but if your power supply doesn’t have that option on board, the pedal includes a universal 12V power supply.
